Tootoomoo is definitely the new kid on the block when it comes to takeaways in London, with a rock solid concept and talented team behind the working behind the brand its definitely one to look out for. At the heart of the brand stands its founder Phillip McGuinness whose numerous years of experience extend across a whole range of sectors and fields such as Tesco’s and Jury’s Inn. The concept was conceived after noticing a gap in the market for fresh, delicious Pan Asian Healthy Takeaway. After noticing that it was often difficult to buy Pan Asian cuisine to a high standard without paying high prices and nigh impossible to order good quality Pan Asian food for delivery, the idea for Tootoomoo was born. Enlisting the help of Malaysian Master Chef Ricky Pang, the race was on to provide Londoners with high quality Asian cooking devoid of any nasty additives and chemicals found in some takeaway establishments.

Under the guidance of MasterChef Ricky Pang, Tootoomoo’s food reflects some of the greatest dishes to be found in Asia. Whether it be the hugely popular “Beef Rendang” or the much loved “Green Chicken Curry” many of the dishes on the menu reflect the massive culinary scope of choice to be found throughout Asia. In order to focus on producing fantastic tasting meals, Tootoomoo opted to focus on a smaller menu compared to many competitors, allowing them to create a few truly delicious items as opposed to many standard items found on a larger menu. To bring out many of the flavours found in the recipes, many of the dishes contain organic or free range ingredients, examples including the Chicken Ramen which contains Free Range Chicken or Happy Eggs being used in much of the cooking and preparation. Adherence to quality products truly brings out the flavours for Tootoomoo has started to build a reputation for.

The Inspiration for Healthy Takeaway Pan Asian Cuisine

The concept and lay out of Tootoomoo stems from the aesthetics and ambience of Asian Street Food markets.  We wanted to create an original and authentic brand and experience for our customers and believed that replicating certain elements of a food market, such as the hustle and bustle, lively atmosphere and most importantly, the amazing aromas and taste of freshly cooked Asian food, would be a great starting point for Tootoomoo.  In a sense, when one enters Tootoomoo, they are venturing into a microcosm of Asia and experiencing all that it encompasses.

Tootoomoo is not only an eatery and take-away service; it also hosts a mini market, which means that customers can, not only enjoy sampling the excellent dishes on our menu, but purchase the very same ingredients that we use, to create similar meals at home at very reasonable prices.   The idea behind this is to encourage our customers to continue their Tootoomoo experience at home and to also approach cooking Asian food without the fear of tackling a shopping list with ingredients that might be difficult to get hold of in the average supermarket.   Our aim is to make healthy Pan- Asian food accessible and we believe that the Mini Market is a great opportunity for any enthusiasts to give Asian cooking a ago.  The simplest ideas are the most wonderful, and great Asian food lies in the simplicity of its cooking to allow the enhancement of flavours from using natural ingredients.

The actual look of the store lends itself to the aforementioned aesthetics of an Asian food market; we strongly believe that the decor of our eatery compliments our food and emphasizes our concept.  The more rustic appeal of the kitchen area and Mini Market is juxtaposed with brilliant graffiti style artwork by Milo Tchais, a very talented Street Art enthusiast.  His work adds vibrancy to Tootoomoo and strongly reflects our brand; a fun destination for Pan-Asian food fans.
