Passionfruit Martini
50ml vodka
25ml passionfruit puree
10ml passoa
10ml grenadine
50ml orange juice
This citrus in this tropical cocktail can cut through the richness of the dish. Pair it with beef rendang or a coconut rich dish like green chicken curry (mild!). Beware if you are going for a spicier dish as the acidity in this drink will only enhance the tingling sensation on your tongue.
Elderflower Fizz
50ml gin
25ml elderflower cordial
handful of mint muddled
generous amount of crushed ice
soda water
This cocktail is the perfect companion to all spicy dishes. The floral note and the freshness of the mint keeps the fiery chilies at bay (think Szechuan chilli chicken), yet not overpowering any dishes. The only danger of the cocktail is that it’s very easy to have one too many of it!
